According to a statement released by the party through the state’s party Publicity Secretary, Engr Akeem Olatunji. It was stated that, 22 chairmanship aspirants from Ibadan zone was not cleared   Statement read : Report of the Committee on Chairmanship and Councillorship Screening Exercise   A total number of 147 Aspirants applied for the position of Chairmanship in the 33 local government of Oyo State, the total number of successful aspirants was 106 with 1 absent. 808 Councillorship aspirants were screened with 749 Councillorship aspirants cleared while 59 were not cleared for not being able to meet up with the requirements. HOME NEWS POLITICS I’ll Work Against Makinde’s Re-Election If Care Is Not Taken —Fayose The former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has threatened to work against the governor of Oyo state in 2023vif he doesn’t stop disrespecting him. “If Governor Makinde continues to disrespect me, I will work against him,” Fayose stated on a PUNCH Live interview. The relationship between Fayose and Gov. Makinde of oyo state have recently turned sour as both parties engage in a superiority battle over the control of affairs of the party in the southwest zone. Speaking on Wednesday, Fayose said he was amongst party chieftains who worked in 2019 to ensure Makinde emerged the winner of the governorship election in Oyo.
