HOME NEWS POLITICS Obasanjo: I knew Yar’Adua Had Kidney Transplant Before Supporting   Him In 2007 Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has revealed he knew the late President Musa Yar’Adua was ill before he supported him to emerge the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2007. He however said he got medical advice that Yar’Adua, who had a kidney transplant, was fit to act as President. Yar’Adua, who later won the 2007 presidential election, died in office in May 2010. Obasanjo, who spoke on Sunday in a virtual interview with academic and historian, Toyin Falola, denied allegation he deliberately put up weak candidates for selfish interests. Seyi Giant Strides Towards Ensuring Peace In The Zone The people of Ibarapa zone of Oyo State  came out en masse on Sunday 31, January 2021 to welcome the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde to the community. Recall BOWA MEDIA had reported earlier that the was on his way to the tension soaked community. On Makinde’s arrival,  people came out in their hundreds to receive the Governor. As Makinde alighted from his vehicle at about 6:25 p.m, the crowd went into a frenzy, chanting slogans of the Governor, “oluwa lo Seyi” among others. The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Taiwo Adisa had said the Governor will tour the zone when all the security reports and situations  would have been concluded and assessed. The late retired Commissioners of Police was gathered to have gave up the ghost at the Isolation Center at Olodo area of Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, around 10am today Saturday, 30th January 2021. It was gathered that the retired Commissioner of Police had been on admission at the COVID-19 Isolation Centre since January 24, and had died while receiving treatment. It was further learnt that his corpse was still at the Isolation Centre as at the time of filling this report. Ogundipe, who has been on trial since 2011, was sentenced to two years imprisonment by a Lagos State High Court after he was found guilty of the crime. It was learnt that Oladunjoye, who is the immediate past Head of Department of Architecture in the institution died on Thursday along with three others whose identities have not been made public yet. Sources disclosed that Oladunjoye and three others were coming from Saki town before the fatal accident that occurred at Odo Ogun bridge on Thursday.
