In consonance with the caretaker Chairman of Ona-ara Local Government Council, the former council chairman Hon. Taiwo Oke who also is the present full time member Local government service Commission earlier today, commissioned the 2 Units toilets at Idi Ose primary school Akaran, ona-Ara local government area in ibadan, being projects initiated and completed by the caretaker Chairman, Hon. Musbau Adeshina Shaba.
The event was graced with the presence of dignitaries such as the past local government Chairman Hon.Taiwo Oke, Special Assistant on Egbeda-Ona to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Hon. Akinlolu James Adegboyega; Engr Dotun Sanusi Chairman/CEO Ilaji Hotels, Sports and Resorts, Akanran also gracing the occasion was the Royal majesty Alakanran of Akanran Oba James Obisesan and the state commandant's Amotekun service Corp col. Olayanju Bisiyiru Olayinka among others.
Hon Taiwo Oke , while commissioning the projects, stressed that he was left in total awe having seen all that the Chairman has been able to achieve within the Short time in Office, further noting that, 'the Chairman has proven that he understands that the Local Government is meant to work for the interest of the common man, to execute grassroot projects.' Also stressing further he urged the Amotekun Corp Members, ona-Ara local government units, not to jeopardize with their Frontline duties as the people and the government as a whole counts on them.
Addressing the audience, the caretaker Chairman Hon. Musbau Adeshina Sanusi said he didn't consider the event to be an opportunity to make a long speech, but rather a day fulfilling the long needs of the student's who had long yawned for a modern facility and also the presentation of Operational motorcycles to each ward of the local government, to be use by the Amotekun Corps for security of lives and properties .
In his words, 'I believe people do not care about how much you know, until they know how much you care. The project's accomplishment was with the little resources the council was able to make use of… We all know fully well that for now we are not financially independent and buoyant, but despite that, right now we can boldly say the era of promise and fail is over.
Musbua who also used the occasion to thank the chairman Ilaji hotels, Sports and Resorts, Engr Dotun Sanusi for his immense supports and gestures towards the growth and development of Ona-Ara local government.
According to him Adegboyega the Special Assistant to the governor on Egbeda-Ona-ara federal Constituency, ' the efforts put in place by the Chairman towards security is worth commending, especially given the fact that Security is important, and that such cannot be guaranteed without peace.' Further, urging the Amotekun Corps not to deviate from the primary assignment assigned to them by the state and making sure all hands are on deck .

Also speaking at the event was the State commandant's Oyo state Amotekun Corps, Olayinka who thanked the caretaker chairman for the provision and official handling of the operational motorcycles, office space and residency for use, stating that with all of these in place it will be a smooth ride for the Corp Members against the fight on criminality ..
Speaking further on the joint support among the people and the security outfits urging them to create constant communication between the corps and every other security outfits to curb criminal activities in the state

The event was rounded up with a presentation of operational motorcycles, Commissioning of the Amotekun office and toilets respectively.

BREAKING:Talks With Federal Government Representatives Fail • No Going Back On Strike – NLC, TUC Insist

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday.
