HOME NEWS CRIME Police Parade Suspected Kidnappers of Ex- Governor Akala’s Farm Worker, Others In Ibadan Oyo State Police Command has arrested 17 suspected kidnappers in different parts of the state for their involvement in some recent abductions. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Williams Adekunle, announced this in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Adewale Osifeso.   Eight of the suspects were said to have carried out the abduction of Christopher Bakare, who is the supervisor of the farm of the late former Governor of the state, Adebayo Alao-Akala. He was abducted on the farm in Jabata located in the Surulere Local Government Area of the state. Some of the eight suspects were also said to have kidnapped the owner of a private clinic, Dr Abdurasheed Oladoye at Gbede in the same local government area. HOME NEWS Oyo State Government To Train 200 Youth In Tech Skills The Oyo State government has announced an empowerment programme in conjunction with a leading tech education provider, Coven Works. This was made known in a statement made available by the Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Engr. 'Seun Fakorede MNSE. The programme, according to the Commissioner will "greatly benefit youths who desire to start a career in the thriving tech industry." The Oyo State Government had on November 1, 2021 shortlisted and announced 22 outstanding youths out of 7000 applicants across board for a Tech-learning and scholarship programme in collaboration with Utiva.
