Oyo State "NULGE" Identifies With NLC On Protest Demands Federal Government Swift Intervention 
In solidarity with the striking workers and the Nigerian students on the elongated strike that has kept the Nigerian students at home for months, The Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has identified with the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, by storming the state secretariat in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

The leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in the state and the president of Oyo State NULGE, Comrade, Ayobami Olusegun led the rest of the union in the protest

The NLC Secretariat in Agodi served as the starting point for the nonviolent demonstration, which carried on to the Oyo State Secretariat, where the demonstrators pleaded with the state government and the federal government for a swift response to their demands


Ayobami Olusegun, the president of Oyo NULGE, said the protest was to show its solidarity with striking workers in the public tertiary education sector in the country, and also to lend its voice to the call on the Federal government to speedily resolve the ongoing strike.
