Makinde’s Youth Development Agenda Gets Major Boost As Fakorede Announces Application For Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (How To Apply/Deadline)
The Youth development agenda of Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Saturday received a major boost as his youngest and vibrant Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Engineer Seun Fakorede (MSE) announces his application for the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative of the United States Consulate.
According to him, “On the 23rd of March 2022, I shared about our potential partnership with the United States Consulate’s Carrington Fellowship as part of the efforts to strengthen the Youth Development Agenda of Governor Seyi Makinde.


“It is public knowledge that the Oyo State Government is keen on keeping the teeming youth population engaged in securing a better future and economy for the State and the country at large — based on the foregoing, I held a strategic meeting with the President of the Carrington Fellowship Network (an initiative of the US Consulate), Olusola Owonikoko to discuss collaborations and how our Youth can leverage on the productive agenda of the Fellowship.



“Today, I’m happy to announce that application for the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative of the United States Consulate is open for residents of Oyo State. Eligibility information and how to apply are on the e-flier. Deadline is on the 30th of July.”

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday.
