AkinOsa Recieved Over 500 APC, ADC Decampees To PDP In Ona-ara



More than 500 hundred members of the All Progressives Congress APC, ADC, AAC and ANN on Wednesday, decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Ona - Ara Local Government (PDP) Secretariat


The decampees were received at the Party Secretariat today by the Special Assistant to the Executive Governor on Egbeda-Ona Ara Federal Constituency, Hon. Adegboyega Akinlolu James (Oosa) and the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon. ABIODUN Fadeyi along side Ona Ara PDP Chairman Hon. I.M Bakare and others 


They handed over their APC membership cards, brooms and posters in replacement for those of the PDP.
Hon Taiwo the leader of the APC decampees, in his words said they were dissatisfied by the approach of APC policies.

He said they decided to join the PDP to contribute to the continuous development of the constituency
“We are decamping to PDP for the development of Ona Ara Local Government and Oyo State as a whole.
“Our stay in APC has not been encouraging. APC policies and approach have not encouraged democracy and governance in the area council,” he said.

Also Hon. Yerima the leader of the ADC Decampees (Arapaja Group) in his words  "We are back home, because PDP as always been our home
The Special Assistant to the Governor On Egbeda-Ona Ara Federal Constituency in his words "He is welcoming all decampees on behalf of his Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde and Hon. Mrs Oloye Akinjide Olajumoke who have proven in different ways to be the true Son and Daughter of the soil respectively and also assuring  all the decampees, that all rights and previledge will be duely acknowledged to them all in accordance to the party rules ..



The PDP local government chairman Ona Ara said he his honoured and happy to recieve the newly members to the party as well wished them all fruitful stay..


Party stake holders in attendance includes : Hon. Mufutua Ogunremi ( State PDP Vice Chairman, Central), Hon. AKEEM TAIWO OKE, ALHAJI TOAFEEK LAYIWOLA among others ..

BREAKING:Talks With Federal Government Representatives Fail • No Going Back On Strike – NLC, TUC Insist

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. The development followed the decision of the unions after a four-hour meeting with the leadership of the National Assembly on Sunday evening in Abuja ended in a deadlock “For now, we don’t have the power to call off the strike, tomorrow (Monday) morning, the strike will kick off as we take their (NASS) plea asking us to call off the strike to our various organs,” said Festus Osifo after the meeting with NASS leadership. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday.
