Makinde's Special Assistant Sensitize PDP Ona Ara Ward Chairmen On Forth Coming Local Government Election

As part of the ongoing plans towards the coming local government election to be presided by OYOSIEC in Oyo state, the Special Assistant to the Governor On Egbeda-Ona Ara Federal Constituency Hon. Adegboyega Akinlolu James (Oosa) held a meeting with the 11 ward pdp chairmen from Ona Ara Local on the sensitization of how they should of an eye opener's to the members of the party and voters at large 

The meeting which was held at the party Secretariat in Ona Ara had in attendance all the ward Chairmen and ona Ara PDP local government party chairman Vice and the Party Secretary 

Speaking at the meeting hon Akinlolu James (Oosa) advised the chairmen not to be carried by any means as they should have in mind that the party will be diplomatic in choosing her flag bearer not minding the critics that comes with it,as it's part of politics and also encouraged them not to see the election process as an avenue to enrich themselves or taking absolute advantage on aspirants engaging them in any form of money for support as  aspirants themselves had one way or the other worked for the progress of the party at the 2019 general election as such action will not be condoned.

Whoever gets the ticket should see such as a priviledge to service not a right and to those who does not , should embrace the Spirit of sportsmanship and support the party course whatsoever

He further added that there is nothing like Automatic tickets for any aspiring candidates as there would be a transperent process of candidacy selection ..

BREAKING:Talks With Federal Government Representatives Fail • No Going Back On Strike – NLC, TUC Insist

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. The development followed the decision of the unions after a four-hour meeting with the leadership of the National Assembly on Sunday evening in Abuja ended in a deadlock “For now, we don’t have the power to call off the strike, tomorrow (Monday) morning, the strike will kick off as we take their (NASS) plea asking us to call off the strike to our various organs,” said Festus Osifo after the meeting with NASS leadership. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday. The unions in a joint statement signed by Comrade Ocheme Aba, General Secretary NUATE; Comrade Frances Akinjole, Deputy General Secretary ATSSSAN; Comrade Abdul Rasaq Saidu, Secretary General ANAP and Comrade Olayinka Abioye General Secretary NAAPE directed all branches to comply.
