AKINOSA HOLDS SPECIAL MAOLUD PRAYER SESSION FOR OYO STATE 
 
Special Assistant to the Governor On Egbeda-Ona Ara Federal Constituency, on Thursday morning organised a special prayer session for the restoration of peace, stability and economic prosperity in Oyo State . A statement issued by his Media Assistant to the S.A  Mr. Bodija Akinwale, said the prayers were held at the home of the S.A in Ibadan

Speaking during the prayers, Hon. Akinlolu said  it was necessitated by the fact it is a time to celebrate the birth of the holy prophet Muhammed “For us to assemble here its can only be an opportunity to call on God to help us with the challenges that we are facing in the state. That was why we deemed it necessary to utilize this opportunity of self denial to call on God to intervene in the affairs of our dear state and the nation.”
” For every one who is a man or woman of faith, prayer is central. The reason why prayer is necessary is because although we all call on Him via different religions; God is all seeing, God is all powerful, but He will not intervene in spite of His many powers in our affairs, until  we give Him permission to do so.”

“If God can just on His own decide to intervene; there’ll be no need for prayers, why would you pray if you can go directly and get it? He has said that He has put the power in our mouths, that whatever we go through, be it as individuals or a nation, if we can call on Him, He will respond, and I believe that is the essence of prayer.”


“That is why we want to utilize this opportunity and this event to call on God for the affairs of this nation, pray to God to intervene in the land, pray for God to give us wisdom as leaders; from the Governor, his deputy, leaders of the party , Every Political Appointee even Membership of the PDP, all of us here, , Local Government Chairmen, down to the Supervisory councelors, because we believe that if the leadership does well, the state will do well.”

We will pray for his Exellency Engr Seyi Makinde, pray for God Continuous wisdom to always out Oyo State at the fore front 

The prayer session was led by Alhaji  Apesimoje , Alh. sakiru and Alh Keilere. Also present was the caretaker chairman of Ona Ara Local Government Hon. Musibaudeen Adesina Sanusi (Shaba) Hon. Wasui Nasiru (PDP Secretary ona Ara) Hon. Rotimi Adetomiwa (Council Secretary) , Hon. Jamiu Iyiola (Supervisor For Education), Hon Abbas Ajagbe ( Supervisor for Agriculture) ..

BREAKING:Talks With Federal Government Representatives Fail • No Going Back On Strike – NLC, TUC Insist

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. The development followed the decision of the unions after a four-hour meeting with the leadership of the National Assembly on Sunday evening in Abuja ended in a deadlock “For now, we don’t have the power to call off the strike, tomorrow (Monday) morning, the strike will kick off as we take their (NASS) plea asking us to call off the strike to our various organs,” said Festus Osifo after the meeting with NASS leadership. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday. The unions in a joint statement signed by Comrade Ocheme Aba, General Secretary NUATE; Comrade Frances Akinjole, Deputy General Secretary ATSSSAN; Comrade Abdul Rasaq Saidu, Secretary General ANAP and Comrade Olayinka Abioye General Secretary NAAPE directed all branches to comply.
