Reacting to the candidature of Hon. Sunday Akindele Ojo, Arabambi, said the decisions of the party and that of his Excellency Gov. Seyi Makinde was important at this time for sanity’ sake among party members and definitely believe in their leadership verdict thereby urging his supporters to know that the emergance of the chairmanship and vice chairman candidates was a victory for democracy and the good people of Afijio local government…


He said the PDP- Leadership at the local government, state and the Executive Governor, has proven their readiness for an all-inclusive government both local and at the state level also that the party decisions supersedes any individual ambition there by urging his Supporters to stay calm, embrace and work for the total victory of the Party at the general LG election in may 15, 2021, Arabambi stated.

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. The development followed the decision of the unions after a four-hour meeting with the leadership of the National Assembly on Sunday evening in Abuja ended in a deadlock “For now, we don’t have the power to call off the strike, tomorrow (Monday) morning, the strike will kick off as we take their (NASS) plea asking us to call off the strike to our various organs,” said Festus Osifo after the meeting with NASS leadership. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday.
