Ibadan North Council Chair'  Agba Egbe Condoles With The Family Of Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadanland, Alhaji Ahmed Dahiru Zungeru Over His Demise~ Bowa Media 
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo ( Agba Egbe), Has Condoled With The Immediate Family, Friends And Ibadan North Local Government On The Demise Of Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadanland, Alhaji Ahmed Dahiru Zungeru.

The Executive Chairman was acompained by Hon. Hamisu Nafiu Dodo, councilor representing ward 6 and the rest of the  councilors from the twelve wards.


In a condolence statement signed by his SA on media and publicity, Mr Bodija Akinwale said: “The passing away of the iconic patriot and elder statesman, Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadanland, Alhaji Ahmed Dahiru Zungeru was a huge loss.


“The likes of Alh. Ahmed were the proverbial hewers of wood and drawers of water who laboured hard for the strong foundation upon which our dear local government was erected.


He said the death of Alh. Ahmed has left a huge vacuum because he was vibrantly  interested in the growth and upliftment of the local government as a whole especially ward 6 of the council area.

We will miss his patriotism and elderly advice to us, I pray the almighty Allah grant him Aljanah Firdaus.

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. The development followed the decision of the unions after a four-hour meeting with the leadership of the National Assembly on Sunday evening in Abuja ended in a deadlock “For now, we don’t have the power to call off the strike, tomorrow (Monday) morning, the strike will kick off as we take their (NASS) plea asking us to call off the strike to our various organs,” said Festus Osifo after the meeting with NASS leadership. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday.
