EXCLUSIVE: Makinde Returns Five Commissioners As List Of Commissioners To Be Announced Soon ~ Bowa Media
The much-awaited list of Commissioners in the Cabinet of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State is now ready.

Sources told this online newspaper that the list is on the way to the office of the Speaker of the House, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin as at the time of filing this story.

It was gathered that at least four of the Commissioners earlier sacked have been returned.
The returning Commissioners include that of Youth and Sports, Seun Fakorede; Information, Culture and Tourism, Wasiu Olatubosun; Commerce Adeniyi Adebisi and the former Commissioner for Lands and Urban Planning, Abdurahman Abduraheem.

Also returned is the Commissioner for Education, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye.
The Commissioners who were appointed into office on August 14, 2019, were sacked late in July 2021, while seven of them were reappointed on August 6.
Sources close to the House of Assembly also told that the Special Adviser to Governor Makinde was on ECONOMIC matters, Prof Musibau Babatunde Adetunji has been nominated as Commissioner for Budget and Planning, while the Incident Manager of the State’s Covid-19 Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Dr.Taiwo Ladipo has been nominated as the Commissioner for Health.

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday.
