EDUCATION: Ona Ara LG Council Boss, Hon. Sanusi Congratulates Foundation@10, Facilitates Donation Of Educational Materials To Indigent Pupils Of Ona Ara.
LG Rhythms Foundation gave hope to the less-privileged students, recently, when it gave out thousands of exercise books to indigent pupils of Saint John Basic School Idi Ose and IDC Basic School Aba Epo, Ona Ara Local Government in Ibadan.

The committee chairman of the foundation 10years anniversary, Dr. Michael Adelusi, who revealed that the gesture was in line with the aim of their group, noted that the writing materials were meant to help develop the pupils as well as assist indigent parents to purchase written books for their wards.

Adelusi said that they have been committed to be impacting life's of people at their annual anniversaries, he stated that his team for this 10th year anniversary have visited a school for the handicapped before coming around for this distribution after they have consulted the local government Chairman at the Ilaji Resort where they were to celebrate their annual anniversary.

He said that School children in poor communities need support from NGOs and other corporate bodies, adding that the initiative was established in order to cater for such poor children by providing them with educational materials.

Urging the philanthropist in every community to emphasize the importance of writing in public schools he promised to compliment and encourage more public schools to dedicate their time to learning. He furthered to appreciate the executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Hon. Musibau Sanusi for his support towards this presentation.

The Local Government Chairman, Hon. Musibau Sanusi, who was represented by the Deputy Director of Administration, Ona Ara Local Government, Mrs. Adekunle M.O, firstly Congratulates the LG Rhythms Foundation for their 10th years anniversary celebration and commended their efforts in developing good learning through its literacy project. “The goal of Oyo State government is to see every child get education no matter where they are,” he said.

Hon. Sanusi, added that it also part of the state government under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde to distribute educational materials to pupils of primary school and our administration at the local government have done it also, where we distributed education materials to over 80 primary schools in Ona Ara local government because it has noticed that, owing to the recession, some parents do not care whether their wards’ school uniforms are torn or not.”

The Headmistress, of the beneficiary schools, Saint John Basic School Idi Ose and IDC Basic School, Aba Epo, while receiving the books for the pupils, encouraged the pupils to inculcate the writing and learning spirits.

She further called on other well-meaning Nigerians to participate in equipping schools with needed materials added that the foundation gesture is something that will linger in their hearts for a long time.
