Aare Latosa LCDA Sole Administrator, Waheed Akanbi "Biiro" Declares House Of Representative Intention• Visit Party Leaders For Support
Hon. Waheed Adeniyi Akanbi popularly known as Biiro, has visited the People's Democratic Party, Executives of his intention to join the race for the Ibadan north federal house of representative come 2023.
Biiro, a current vice chairman of Ibadan north local government, will be contesting with other aspirants at the primary towards clinching the ticket to represent the party at the general election come 2023.

He made the declaration on Wednesday, March 25th, 2022, with large numbers of party faithfuls and followers at the PDP local government party secretariat, yemetu in Ibadan, the oyo state capital. 
Hon. Biiro in his words said "After enlightening consultations with leaders and political associates and also most especially considering the urge and plea for a better representation at the federal level from the people of Ibadan north local government, I believe it is appropriate that I contest for the seat at the House of Representatives in Abuja. Indeed, I see this as my duty and my own moral obligation.
Stating further, he appealed to the party leaders present for their immense support, stating that the party at this time needs a committed personality, who aside having a broad experience, had also stayed firm with the party through thick and thin, and assures that he will not disappoint at dispatching his duty, if chosen and finally elected.

Present at the declaration and meeting, were PDP party executives, the local government party chairman, Seun morounfolu Adelore, the women Leader, Mrs Julian Nwanchuku, Vice chairman Ademuyiwa mustapha, Ex- Officio Honourable Moradeke, The Local Government Youth leader, Adedeji Oladipupo and party faithfuls among others.

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday.
