Ido LG Chair' Sherrif Adeojo Commend Makinde On Ido/Omi Adio Road Project• Distributes Exercise Books
The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government area of Oyo State, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo greatly commended Governor Seyi Makinde over the ongoing construction work on Ido - Omi Adio road which has been abandoned by past administrations in the state.
The Council boss gave this commendation today at the local government Secretariat during the second phase of distribution of exercise books to primary school pupils.

"It is an open secret that education is the bedrock of any meaningful development.  In line with my administration's determination to ensure provision of qualitative education, we decided to embark on production of exercise books to compliment the wonderful efforts of our amiable Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for the betterment of our children", he stated.
He thereafter enjoined the people of Ido Local Government and Oyo State at large to continue their support to Governor Makinde's administration in appreciation of his people oriented developmental projects across the state.

In his goodwill message, Chief Bayo Lawal, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters who was represented by Hon.  Adeniyi Kazim, Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters commended Hon. Adeojo on his commitment to improve educational development in Ido Local Government.

Present at the occasion include Mr. Bamidele Lawal, Secretary to the Local Government; Mr. Mustapha Adeyanju, Chief of Staff, Supervisors, Head of Local Government Administration and Heads of Department.

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday.
