PDP PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY: Tambuwal Steps Down For Atiku As Voting Begins
Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has withdrawn for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar just as voting was set to begin in Abuja for the PDP 2023 Presidential Candidate, NewsBreakNG has learnt.
Invited to make a special announcement, he said: “I, Aminu Tambuwal, has consulted widely throughout the length and breadth of this country . . . consulted so many leaders and supporters, I have come to the firm conviction that time may come for us to make sacrifices for the good of our people.
“I have concluded that to the glory of God Almighty, and for us to close ranks, I have come to the patriotic conclusion to step down from my aspiration and appeal to my supporters to vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.”
