Oyo State NULGE Applauds Makinde, LGSC On Approval/ Release Of Conversion Letters
The Oyo State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, led by Comrade Adeogun Ayobami Olusegun, overwhelmingly appreciates His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde's kind gesture for His excellent consideration and approval of the release of Local Government Conversion Letters.

In a press release personally signed by the president, Comrade Adeogun Ayobami Olusegun and made available to BOWA MEDIA said, "This is the case to give our staff members who have been waiting to be converted to their various targeted cadres and departments expedited attention".

In the same vein, Comrade Adeogun acknowledged the efforts made by the Local Government Service Commission Chairman, Dr. Aderemi Ayodele, the full-time and part-time members of the LGSC Board, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Akin Funmilayo, and other employees of the Commission to ensure the timely distribution of conversion letters to the beneficiaries.

And also, the Union leader implores the beneficiaries to input their very best in service by discharging their statutory duties in other to reciprocate the governor's kind gesture. He concluded.

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. The development followed the decision of the unions after a four-hour meeting with the leadership of the National Assembly on Sunday evening in Abuja ended in a deadlock “For now, we don’t have the power to call off the strike, tomorrow (Monday) morning, the strike will kick off as we take their (NASS) plea asking us to call off the strike to our various organs,” said Festus Osifo after the meeting with NASS leadership. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday.
