Always Exemplifies With Truth All Time - Oyekunle DON, Agba Egbe Celebrate Oyo PDP Chieftain, Ashipa On Birthday
Hon. Fola Oyekunla (DON) has congratulated a party Chieftain, Elder statesman and the former aide to senator Adewolu Ladoja, Chief Ismiala Ashipa on his 69th birthday.
The Oyo lawmaker representing Ibadan North State Constituency 1, felicitated with the elder statesman, in a congratulatory message made available to BOWA MEDIA in Ibadan.

Oyekunle described the celebrant as a political father, selfless leader, political grass rooter and seasoned administrator, whose strides in the state socio-political landscape have remained outstanding.
He said that Ashipa stands tall as a politician, elder statesman and patriot, who exemplifies vision, dexterity, and versatility in the course of the party and state affairs.

Oyekunle also described him as a bridge builder, who has continued to work for the unity, peace, and progress of our great party, as well consistently offering wise counsel toward addressing political issues.

He encouraged him to remain firm in his resolve to contribute to a greater Nigeria, while wishing him many more years of peace, God’s divine protection and good health.

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. The development followed the decision of the unions after a four-hour meeting with the leadership of the National Assembly on Sunday evening in Abuja ended in a deadlock “For now, we don’t have the power to call off the strike, tomorrow (Monday) morning, the strike will kick off as we take their (NASS) plea asking us to call off the strike to our various organs,” said Festus Osifo after the meeting with NASS leadership. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday. The unions in a joint statement signed by Comrade Ocheme Aba, General Secretary NUATE; Comrade Frances Akinjole, Deputy General Secretary ATSSSAN; Comrade Abdul Rasaq Saidu, Secretary General ANAP and Comrade Olayinka Abioye General Secretary NAAPE directed all branches to comply.
