BIRTHDAY WISHES: Lanre Sarumi Celebrates Ashipa, Prays For Many More Years in Good Health
The PDP House of Representatives candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon Lanre Sarumi has lauded sagacity, experience and leadership qualities of Chief Ismaila Ashipa as the elder statesman celebrates yet another birthday.
Sarumi, while praising the elder statesman, describes him as a political leader with a difference, stressing that Chief Ashipa is a blessing to Ibadan North Federal Constituency and Oyo State in general.

He called on youths to learn patience, dedication, commitment, determination and intelligence from the PDP chieftain.
The PDP House of Representatives candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency pray that God should grant the elder statesman many more years in good health and more wisdom.

Sarumi says Chief Ashipa is no doubt a political think-tank that should be regularly tapped from, urging younger generations to never get tired drinking from the well of wisdom of the man with a large heart.

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. The development followed the decision of the unions after a four-hour meeting with the leadership of the National Assembly on Sunday evening in Abuja ended in a deadlock “For now, we don’t have the power to call off the strike, tomorrow (Monday) morning, the strike will kick off as we take their (NASS) plea asking us to call off the strike to our various organs,” said Festus Osifo after the meeting with NASS leadership. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday.
