Wives of Oyo Local Government Chairmen Congratulate Makinde, Bayo Lawal On 2nd Term Inauguration
The Oyo State Local Government Chairmen's wives have Congratulated Governor Makinde and his Deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal over their second-term Inauguration held at the  Liberty Stadium in Ibadan.
The local government council's chairmen's wives, speaking to Bowamedia.com after the official swearing-in ceremony held at the Liberty stadium in Ibadan wished the governor a successful tenure. 

While commending Makinde's incomparable and massive projects accomplished in Oyo State during his first term-led administration, they also applauded his beautiful wife, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde for standing by him, adding that behind a successful man there is always a competent wife.
The wives of the chairmen also felicitated Governor Makinde on his recent emergence as the Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum and prayed that God grant him wisdom and grace.
The Local Government Chairman's wives, however, charged all and sundry in the state, particularly the governor's cabinets, political appointees ranging from the state to the local government level, and Oyo residents to give massive support for the Governor to realize better Oyo state in Omituntun 2.0.

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC have insisted that there is no going back on the nationwide industrial action slated to commence on Monday, June 3, 2024. The development followed the decision of the unions after a four-hour meeting with the leadership of the National Assembly on Sunday evening in Abuja ended in a deadlock “For now, we don’t have the power to call off the strike, tomorrow (Monday) morning, the strike will kick off as we take their (NASS) plea asking us to call off the strike to our various organs,” said Festus Osifo after the meeting with NASS leadership. Strike: Aviation Unions To Shut Local, International Airports

In compliance with the indefinite strike declared by the organised labour, aviation unions have directed members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria. The withdrawal would take effect by 12:00 am on Monday June 3, the unions declared. The unions include the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE). It was learnt that they took the decision after an emergency meeting held on Sunday. The unions in a joint statement signed by Comrade Ocheme Aba, General Secretary NUATE; Comrade Frances Akinjole, Deputy General Secretary ATSSSAN; Comrade Abdul Rasaq Saidu, Secretary General ANAP and Comrade Olayinka Abioye General Secretary NAAPE directed all branches to comply.
