Elder Wole Oyelese Hails Makinde For Honoring Late Olubadan, Oba Mohood Lekan Balogun, Completion of New Olubadan Palace
Elder Wole Oyelese, Co-Chairman of the Oyo State Elders Council, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for organizing a grand final burial ceremony for the late Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Senator Mohood Balogun. The elder statesman also praised the governor for completing the newly furnished Olubadan Palace.
In a statement, Elder Oyelese expressed his deep appreciation for the governor's respect and honor shown to the late monarch, saying, “The impressive burial ceremony and the beautiful palace renovation demonstrate the governor's commitment to upholding the rich cultural heritage of Oyo State.”
He further acknowledged the governor's efforts in promoting unity and progress in the state, saying, “Your leadership has brought significant development and peace to our dear state, and we are grateful for your dedication.”
Elder Oyelese praised the governor's gesture honoring the late Olubadan and family.
The late Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Senator Mohood Balogun, was laid to rest in a grand ceremony attended by dignitaries from across the state and beyond. The newly furnished palace was also completed after years of neglect by the previous administration and now completed to showcase the rich history and tradition of the Olubadan stool.
