APM Ibadan South East Affirms Loyalty to Makinde, Throws Weight Behind Adekanbi

The leadership of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Ibadan South East Local Government has reaffirmed its loyalty to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, while also declaring its support for the party's governorship candidate, Mr. Abimbola Adekanbi.
The declaration was made during a meeting of the apex leadership of the party held on Friday at the Ibadan South East Local Government Secretariat, Mapo.

The meeting, attended by party leaders and stakeholders, commended Governor Makinde for what they described as his outstanding performance in Ibadan South East Local Government and across Oyo State. They noted that his administration has transformed the state through numerous infrastructural projects that have positively impacted the lives of residents.

According to the stakeholders, the governor has demonstrated exceptional leadership, resulting in unprecedented achievements across various sectors of the state's economy.
Part of the statement issued after the meeting reads:
"The governor has done well for us in Ibadan South East Local Government and Oyo State. He has transformed the state and implemented several legacy projects that will outlive this generation. We have no other obligation than to reaffirm our loyalty to him and continue supporting his administration.

"Through his various infrastructural development programmes, he has transformed lives. Therefore, he deserves our loyalty and support. All leaders and stakeholders of the APM in Ibadan South East Local Government will continue to support him. We also support his aspiration to become President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Political office holders are championing this cause, our teeming party members are with us, and other critical stakeholders in the local government have also declared their support. He remains our leader, and we will continue to stand firmly behind him."

The stakeholders also pledged their support for the APM governorship candidate, Mr. Abimbola Adekanbi, promising to mobilise party members and the electorate to ensure his victory in the 2027 general elections.
Those in attendance at the meeting included Hon. Dare Adeleke, Leader; Hon. Kunmi Adedina; Prof. Dahood Sangodoyin, Commissioner for Energy; Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, member representing Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East Federal Constituency; Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Pension Board; Hon. Oluwole Alawode, Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government; and Hon. Abiodun Adedoja (Ekolo), Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy Security.

Others were Alhaji (Hon.) Yusuf Ali Temitope (Supreme), Full-Time Commissioner, Oyo State Local Government Service Commission; Hon. Modiu Opeyemi Akande, representing Ibadan South East Constituency I in the Oyo State House of Assembly; Hon. Yinka Omikunle, representing Ibadan South East Constituency II; Engr. Sulaiman Adesina (World Best), immediate past PDP Chairman in the local government; and Hon. Olajide Oluwole, the current PDP Chairman in Ibadan South East Local Government.
